Role Overview

Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Environmental Services (Maintenance) Assistant for Forest Oak Landing.

Responsible for supporting the Environmental Services Director (ESD) with general maintenance of the community, including all common areas, resident apartments, grounds, equipment and mechanical systems, and operating the community van.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proficiency in building maintenance and mechanical work: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, interior and exterior painting, masonry, drywall repair, appliance and equipment repair and troubleshooting.
  • Promptly respond to resident apartment maintenance or repairs.
  • Inspect and prepare apartments for rent‑ready status before new residents move in.
  • Solicit appropriate plant maintenance estimates or bids, present to Executive Director or ESD.
  • Perform all painting, general maintenance, ground maintenance and other duties as required.
  • Perform floor covering cleaning (shampooing, buffing, stripping, waxing, etc.).
  • Establish, follow and document a complete preventive maintenance plan for plant, equipment, fixtures and furnishings.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, state, local or federal health, safety, building, fire and insurance codes or requirements.
  • Assist ESD with inventory and loss‑control program.
  • Ensure efficient use of department and community resources, including vendors and budgetary guidelines.
  • Participate in community and resident programs (Safety Committee, Infection Control Committee, new resident orientation).
  • Provide transportation for residents when required.
  • Maintain resident rights to the best of your ability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the company or ESD/Executive Director.
  • Participate in all required training, orientation, meetings, and programs.
  • Present a professional demeanor reflecting the company philosophy of service and genuine interest in resident needs.

  • Positive relationship with elderly residents.
  • Skilled maintenance person for general maintenance duties.
  • Clean, tidy and appropriately dressed.
  • Use caution and maintain safe working practices.
