General Maintenance Engineer - PT

What You'll DoAs a General Maintenance Engineer you'll keep our property safe, functional, and beautiful - and when something goes wrong, you'll be the calm, capable person who makes it right.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Responding to guest maintenance requests promptly and resolving them to the guest's satisfaction
- Performing skilled repairs and maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, wall covering, and carpentry
- Executing and documenting preventative maintenance programs to keep the property in peak condition
- Keeping all equipment, work areas, and departmental logs clean and organized
- Patrolling the building and parking areas to identify and proactively address any safety, security, or maintenance concerns
- Reporting suspicious activity or unsafe conditions to the Director of Engineering immediately
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance or facilities experience
- Painting and wall covering skills are required
- Hotel or hospitality maintenance background (2+ years preferred, but we'll consider strong candidates from related industries)
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and/or HVAC a significant plus
Qualifications:
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed.
- Clear communicator, both in conversation with guests and in written maintenance logs
- Takes pride in their appearance and represents the property professionally
- Reliable, punctual, and committed
- Comfortable with frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying
- Able to bend, kneel, climb stairs and ladders throughout your shift
