SCM Cleaning & Restoration is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Restoration & Carpet Cleaning Technician. This is a hands-on, entry-level position. Previous restoration or carpet cleaning experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, willing to learn, works well with others, and takes pride in doing quality work.

• Carpet and upholstery cleaning
• Water damage cleanup and restoration
• Extraction and drying of water-damaged areas
• Setting up and monitoring drying equipment
• Fire and smoke damage cleanup
• Odor removal and cleaning
• Mold remediation and containment
• Cleaning and sanitizing affected areas
• Moving and protecting furniture and contents as needed
• Demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary
• Loading, unloading, cleaning, and maintaining equipment
• Following company procedures and safety guidelines
• Communicating professionally with customers and team members
• Taking photos and documenting work performed
• Keeping vehicles, equipment, and job sites clean and organized

• Is dependable and shows up to work on time
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
• Is comfortable working in a hands-on environment
• Can follow instructions and company procedures
• Takes pride in their work
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Has good communication and customer-service skills
• Is able to work in different environments and conditions
• Is comfortable getting dirty and doing physical work
• Can lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as needed
• Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experience
• Entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in carpet cleaning, water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, construction, janitorial services, or other related fields is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
• IICRC certifications are a plus but are not required.
