Job Description As our Maintenance Technician, you will be the backbone of our hotel's daily operations. You will be responsible for preserving the excellent condition of our suites, public spaces, and exterior grounds. From responding to guest maintenance requests to conducting preventative maintenance, you will play a direct role in ensuring our guests have a safe and perfect stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service:
    Promptly and courteously respond to guest requests for maintenance issues in their suites (e.g., fixing a leaky faucet, troubleshooting TV/Wi-Fi issues, adjusting AC).
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house equipment following Marriott standards.
  • General Repairs:
    Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting repairs.
  • Property Upkeep:
    Assist with groundskeeping, trash removal, and ensuring the exterior of the building is clean and presentable.
  • Pool Maintenance:
    Monitor and maintain the hotel pool and spa chemistry and cleanliness (CPO certification is a plus!).
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Ensure all life safety systems (fire alarms, extinguishers) are operational and that all work complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Communication:
    Keep the Maintenance Manager and Front Desk updated on room status and repair timelines.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel, apartment complex, or commercial building setting.
  • Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) throughout the shift.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays, as hotel operations run 24/7.
  • Bonus: HVAC certification, CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license, or bilingual (English/Spanish).
