Job Summary
Under supervision of the Field Manager, the Stormwater Maintenance Lead performs tasks and duties necessary for cleaning stormwater structures and systems, including curb inlets, envibro systems, treatment systems, and stormwater inlets. The position also supports repair of stormwater structures as needed.
Job Responsibilities- Comply with all safety, quality and work rules and requirements.
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed safely.
- Remove trash, leaves, sediment, and other debris from stormwater drainage systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to accomplish daily tasks.
- Understand and follow all confined space entry protocols.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections.
- Assist in daily work documentation.
- Perform system repairs as necessary.
- Perform weekly QA audits.
- Perform weekly safety audits.
- Assist with shop organization, spare inventory and spare parts.
- Perform repairs and maintenance.
- Train and mentor other technicians.
- Employ safe work practices such as lock out/tag out and safe use of power tools.
- Asset new and current technician skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in varying weather, and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and consistent adherence to ensure a safe working environment.
- Proven track record of punctuality, reliability, and consistent performance.
- Ability to ascend or descend drywells up to 30’ deep.
- Balance, climb, kneel, lift up to 75 lbs. (manhole covers, drywell covers, grates), push, pull, reach, stoop, walk carrying support equipment.
- Stand next to and enter drywells, catch basins, and stormwater manholes that can be 5’ deep or deeper.
- Work near vehicle and heavy equipment traffic.
- 2 years of stormwater service and maintenance experience within Oldcastle Infrastructure.
- Great communication and customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Strong knowledge of production planning.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Hourly pay rate $32–$36/hr.
