Shipfitters in San Diego

Labor One is hiring Journeyman Shipfitters in San Diego, California.

• Expected Long-Term Project
• Competitive Pay
• $160 per diem for those who are eligible
• Housing Assistance

• 5 years of recent shipyard experience
• Must be able to work any shift and overtime, if required
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be DBIDS eligible
• Must be able to pass a drug screen

• Welding, tacking, burning, and scarfing

• FCAW
• Fillet weld plates: 2F 3F 4F (VT test)
• Fillet testing shall take 1-2 hours
• T Bar 12X4” 3/8” thick:
• 2F 3F 4F (VT and Fracture test)
• This takes average ship fitter of 1-2 days

Must comprehend written and verbal instructions (in English).

Must be able to hear warning signals, and read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations, and warnings.
