Automotive Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description- Plan and perform a wide variety of fitting, assembly, installation, and alignment of complicated parts to exacting customer tolerances and operating requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine sequence, tooling requirements, measurements and allowable tolerances
- Aid, assist, and communicate knowledge and skills to other, less knowledgeable team members
- Read individual work orders, assemble any equipment as needed prior to the install and complete the assigned work under the general direction of the Lead Technician or Operations Supervisor
- Ensure all parts are fitted and alter dimensions to fit specifications
- Request assistance when needed
- Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process
- Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company, help in increasing the quality of our products for the appearance and safety for our customers
- Conduct final inspections to verify all components have been installed and tested
- Continue to develop additional technical skills, as appropriate, to enable flexibility in work assignments
- Obtain training and/or (ASE) certification as determined necessary by management
- Comply with Holman’s safety policies and clean initiative standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and well organized work area
- Properly maintain tools and equipment
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Additional education, certifications, or related-experience is generally preferred; including ASE and welding certification, associate’s degree in auto maintenance and repair, etc.
- Possess a valid driver license
- Proficient with hand tools
- 1-2 years automotive installation experience or in related fields
