Service Technician II
LOCATION: San Diego, CA
WORK TYPE: Direct hire
SCHEDULE: Open Availability required (Must be able to work nights, weekends, on-call shifts, and overtime as required.)
PAY RANGE: $32-42/hr, paid weekly

Job DescriptionThe Service Technician delivers professional, high-stakes technical support to ensure the continuous operation of critical life safety and security infrastructure. Serving as a key field representative, this role bridges the gap between sophisticated technology and client safety. The Technician is responsible for the end-to-end service lifecycle—from initial diagnostic troubleshooting to complex repairs and preventative maintenance. Key responsibilities include managing on-site system health for fire, security, and healthcare networks, coordinating with dispatch for emergency calls, and ensuring all healthcare-specific infrastructure, such as nurse call systems and network cabling, meets rigorous operational standards.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair fire alarm, security, and healthcare low voltage systems. Must have experience troubleshooting fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, burglary, nurse call systems (patient call buttons, corridor lights, cabling/network infrastructure). Conduct preventative maintenance on systems. Attend emergency calls (on-call schedules).
QualificationsHave 5+ years troubleshooting fire alarm, security, or nurse call systems.
Must be able to get vaccinations/ immunizations needed to be on site.
Physical Demands & Work Environment- Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily
- Move/Transport items weighing 20 pounds, occasionally
- Stand or Sit for long periods (4+ hours), daily
- Work is performed in an office environment
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
- The ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Use of computers and technology
