Janitorial Job Number: SD0372 Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour

Responsible for sweeping floors. Responsible for mopping assigned areas. Vacuum carpets (classrooms, sanctuary, office space, common areas, etc) and ensure area rugs are clean. Wipe all counters and desktops in assigned areas. Remove trash from all trash bins and shredders and place collection in trash containers located in the parking lot. Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.

Ensure lights, heater/air conditioners; television, alarm, etc. are turned off (end of the day – end of shift). Ensure facility doors are secured and locked. Stock paper products, soap and other items as needed in all classrooms and restrooms. Clean all restroom fixtures (toilets, sinks, counters, boxes, partitions). Clean restroom mirrors and maintain glass doors (foyer doors, office, etc.) clean.

Report major damages to the Facilities Director.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and internal and external customer service skills required. Must be proactive, with superior time management, organizational skills, and detail oriented. Must be able to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and stressful situations. Able to work independently, as a team, motivate cross functional teams to meet deliverables on time. Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred) Custodial experience: 1 year (Preferred)
