Systems Engineer

AVI Technologies is growing fast. We’re rapidly becoming one of the premier custom home electronics integrators in the San Diego area, and we’re always looking for talented professionals to strengthen our team.

We’re currently seeking individuals with extensive hands‑on experience and high‑level technical expertise in the following areas:

• Whole‑House Audio/Video/Home Theater
• Integrated “Smart Home” Control Systems (Control4, RTI, URC Total Control, etc.)
• Lutron automated lighting & window shades
• High‑performance Home Computer Networks

Current Openings:

Minimum 2 years direct in‑home a/v‑home automation installation experience. URC/Control4 programming & wireless networking expertise helpful. Supervisory/project‑management experience also a plus.

Top‑notch systems engineer/designer with deep experience in whole‑house a/v, popular control systems (C4, URC, RTI), Lutron lighting and computer network design. Work with sales to develop elegant, easy‑to‑use and cost‑effective solutions to client requirements. Help specify equipment & wiring designs and components. Prepare extensive system documentation to guide & streamline execution. Advise install staff in the field and creatively resolve on‑site issues as needed.

Working knowledge of Visio, Auto Cad, D‑Tools and/or other computerized design tools is required, as is demonstrated ability to produce professional documents for both in‑house and client use.

Beginning with qualified incoming leads, provide in‑home evaluation and consultation, design technically superior systems, and develop & present competitive proposals. Close contracts and manage the client relationship from project beginning to end. In‑depth knowledge of integrated home‑entertainment, comfort and security systems is essential, as is demonstrated history of success doing business with a sophisticated upscale clientele.
