Position: Equipment Technician 2

Our Equipment Technician team plays a critical role in supporting both Manufacturing and R&D operations by ensuring equipment reliability, performance, and compliance.

You will work alongside a collaborative group of technicians, engineers, and production teams dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the delivery of life-changing products to our global community. This is a hands‑on, fast-paced environment where teamwork, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence are essential to success.

Where you come in
  • Conduct Preventive and Reparative Maintenance duties on Production, Manufacturing, and R&D Equipment and Fixtures.
  • troubleshoot and maintain Automated production/process equipment, knowledgeable in PLC, Robotics 6 axis and pick and place robots, including but not limited to Pneumatic systems, Hydraulic/Fluidics systems, Electro/Mechanical systems, packaging equipment, resistance/ultrasonic welders, heat stakers. Perform equipment moves and setups.
  • maintain and write Equipment Binders (EB), maintain appropriate documents PM/CM documents, Pass‑downs, Track‑it work orders and perform IQ / OQ’s, equipment validations. Help maintain spare part inventories.
  • use Hand and Power tools, Multimeters, Amp Meters, Manufacturing test equipment, Calipers.
  • perform equipment activities in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer – assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, completing engineering studies and validations.
  • follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag out (LOTO) program.
  • work any shift, including weekends.
  • assume and perform other duties as assigned.
  • perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
What makes you successful
  • Familiar with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must have general computer skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
  • Ability to write routine reports, pass‑downs and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and managers.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schematic, blueprint, equipment drawing, or schedule form.

Experience and Education

Typically requires a minimum of 2‑4 years of related experience and High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.

Language Skills

Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to verbally communicate with leadership, employees, and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.

Physical Demands

Employees in this position may be required to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time; frequent use of the hands, fingers, wrist, and greater arm to handle small materials, tools, boxes, and trays; lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lbs; occasional overhead reaches and lifts; occasional lifts and reaches below the knee; occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects with moderate forces;

occasional crouching/kneeling, twisting, and squatting movements.
