SUMMARYThe HVAC Technician ("Técnico/a de HVAC") is responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment and HVAC systems as needed.

- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
- Responds to and repairs guest and coworker service calls, needs, and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Keeps up-to-date and accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and refrigerant usage of all equipment.
- Conforms to all EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Drives a vehicle to either on-site or off-site locations to inspect, repair or maintain equipment and/or facilities, as directed.
- Provides assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving needed vehicles.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. If no educational background, at least 1 year.
- Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
- Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc
- Must be a certified HVAC technician.
The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
