Building Maintenance
Job Responsibilities
- Assist or perform building maintenance repairs including flooring, drywall, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscape, equipment, concrete, and roofing.
- Assist with miscellaneous repairs and maintenance items such as hanging bulletin boards, pictures and dispensers, moving furniture and other items.
- Complete or assist with unclogging plugged and overflowing toilets and other plumbing fixtures.
- Check for leaks in plumbing, make adjustments where possible, and notify Facilities Director, Facilities Manager, Facilities Supervisor, or Facilities Administrative Assistant when a plumber is required.
- Mop and clean spills, vomit and waste, empty trash cans, and clean up around dumpster areas.
- Responsible for proper usage, maintenance, and storage of Facilities tools and supplies.
- Sweep and clean sidewalks and parking lots as requested.
- Responsible for picking up trash, debris, etc., around the various health center sites (buildings, sidewalks, and parking lots).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must have a reliable truck or utility van and hand tools. Traveling between sites and other locations is required as an essential function of the job. Must have a car, a valid California driver’s license, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended. An acceptable driving record is also required.
California law requires all drivers to obtain a valid California driver’s license within ten days of establishing residency. Mileage and other reimbursement governed by policy.
Experience in building repairs and maintenance. Ability to follow both written and oral instructions in English. Basic computer literacy (use system to manage and schedule appointments, access electronic medical record information). Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
SalaryWe are excited to share that the salary range for this position is: $26.00.
