As a member of the Menzies Aviation Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient repair and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. You will inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Role PurposeThis role is responsible for the primary service that depends on well‑maintained vehicles, organization and tracking of the fleet and expenses within the company. The GSE manager will have the ability to accurately maintain and hold responsibility for an exceptional level of quality of all ground support equipment in the company and ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by established procedures and protocols.
Diesel experience is preferred.

- Fully responsible for all aspects of the GSE repair services at the station.
- Fully accountable for the financial performance and compliance with Corporate Governance, legal and quality aspects of Menzies’ businesses in the station.
- Schedule all preventive maintenance inspections.
- Lead and work with the senior team to maintain and enhance appropriate, effective safety & security systems, risk assessments, periodical inspections & audits, operational training programs, planning, operational processes, and service delivery.
- Maintain all equipment records and monitor vehicle registration and hour meter program.
- Coordinate scheduling of equipment to be repaired.
- Coordinate all QA inspections on fuel equipment.
- Ensure ground equipment and fueling repair deadlines are met.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Perform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees.
You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. - 3 to 5 years mechanical experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen and all pre‑employment testing.
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
- Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
- Report any significant deficiency in our products, materials, and documents.
- Perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Suggest improvements to working practices especially those relating to safety and security.
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, vendors, and other employees of the organization.
- Must have high school diploma, GED or one‑year experience as a Supervisor in the Aviation Industry; completion of an Automotive/Diesel Mechanic degree program (preferred).
