Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Building Maintenance Worker II is responsible for the ongoing and minor maintenance repairs for NEMS buildings and grounds (non-permit/licensed repairs), and act as a backup for drivers and janitors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Performs all the duties of a Building Maintenance Worker I
* Responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate
* Performs general repairs of all buildings fixtures i.e. replace water drain, leak issues etc.
* Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures
* Assist in completing daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
* Escort and assist vendors when needed
* Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
