Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, General Labor
Job Summary
Provides custodial and cleaning services for Clear Channel structures and sites.
Job Responsibilities- Complete routine cleaning and maintenance of Clear Channel structures and sites.
- Will be assigned a shelter route and maintain all shelters within the route.
- Report all repairs needed.
- Conduct daily cleaning and basic maintenance of transit shelters.
- Maintain daily logs of cleaning, garbage pick‑up and maintenance performed on assigned transit shelter route.
- Report damage and safety issues to Street Furniture Supervisor in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work with Clear Channel maintenance crews to perform general structural maintenance and repairs to transit shelters.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Read, write and follow complex instructions.
- Possess a valid in‑state driver’s license suitable for light commercial vehicles.
- Ability to drive trucks and vans associated with the job.
- Climb, bend, stoop, stand, sit, push and pull self, materials and equipment in excess of 85 pounds.
- Keep accurate records for reporting purposes.
- Eligible to work independently, exercising judgment and decision‑making.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with minor electrical, plumbing and building repair is a plus.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Proficient in listening and oral communication skills; can read & speak English.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Highly disciplined with ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- High work standards and attention to detail.
- Competent in completing appropriate documentation and reports.
- Proficient in operating hand and minor electrical tools safely.
- Competent in basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Time Management: use time effectively and efficiently.
- Communication: read and interpret verbal and written requests and directions.
- Dealing with Ambiguity: cope with change and shift gears comfortably.
- Keeping on Point: separate mission‑critical tasks from less important ones.
- Action Oriented: work hard, energized by challenging tasks.
- Valid driver’s license, CDL Class preferred.
- Access to a reliable vehicle.
Must be able to lift heavy objects, walk/stand for long periods, perform strenuous physical labor, sometimes under adverse conditions.
Targeted Salary Range (California)$21.50 to $24.00 hourly. Hourly roles are overtime eligible; installer roles are productivity pay eligible.
