Shelter Maintenance

Job Summary

Provides custodial and cleaning services for Clear Channel structures and sites.

• Complete routine cleaning and maintenance of Clear Channel structures and sites.
• Will be assigned a shelter route and maintain all shelters within the route.
• Report all repairs needed.
• Conduct daily cleaning and basic maintenance of transit shelters.
• Maintain daily logs of cleaning, garbage pick‑up and maintenance performed on assigned transit shelter route.
• Report damage and safety issues to Street Furniture Supervisor in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work with Clear Channel maintenance crews to perform general structural maintenance and repairs to transit shelters.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Read, write and follow complex instructions.
• Possess a valid in‑state driver’s license suitable for light commercial vehicles.
• Ability to drive trucks and vans associated with the job.
• Climb, bend, stoop, stand, sit, push and pull self, materials and equipment in excess of 85 pounds.
• Keep accurate records for reporting purposes.
• Eligible to work independently, exercising judgment and decision‑making.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with minor electrical, plumbing and building repair is a plus.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficient in listening and oral communication skills; can read & speak English.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Highly disciplined with ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• High work standards and attention to detail.
• Competent in completing appropriate documentation and reports.
• Proficient in operating hand and minor electrical tools safely.
• Competent in basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

• Communication: read and interpret verbal and written requests and directions.
• Dealing with Ambiguity: cope with change and shift gears comfortably.
• Keeping on Point: separate mission‑critical tasks from less important ones.

• Valid driver’s license, CDL Class preferred.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.

Must be able to lift heavy objects, walk/stand for long periods, perform strenuous physical labor, sometimes under adverse conditions.

$21.50 to $24.00 hourly. Hourly roles are overtime eligible; installer roles are productivity pay eligible.
