Engineering Operation Technician; AWS

We are seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission‑critical technology infrastructure across AWS data centers, including generators, power systems, mechanical equipment, and building management systems. The role supports 24/7 operations and ensures an uptime target of 99.999%.

• Perform daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment and record information.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack‑level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Perform rack installations and decommissioning, keeping within SLA.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, root‑cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Produce technical writing to support change‑management programs.
• Track daily work requests, resolve issues, and execute projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on‑site support for contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to practices, procedures, and local legislation.
• Support operations at multiple data‑center locations; may perform night shifts, weekend work, and on‑call rotations as required.

• Regularly lift or move up to 39 pounds independently.
• Participate in group lifts for 40+ pounds.
• Maintain balance and perform construction tasks while on a ladder.
• Engage in walking, using hands and fingers, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, climbing stairs, twisting, bending, working above shoulders, grasping, carrying, pushing and pulling objects into position.
• Use ear protection in environments where required.

• Ability to travel to or commute between data‑center locations as required.
• Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training or while the designated facility becomes operational.
• Travel frequency may vary based on business needs and site status; travel up to >50 miles or commute
