Summary
This position is located in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Facility Mgmt Division in San Francisco, CA. This position is a working leader assigned responsibility for building and utility maintenance work. The position provides daily direction to at least three (3) workers to accomplish trades work on a regular and recurring part of the job and exercised on a substantially full time and continuing basis.
MajorDuties
Matches or creates exact reproductions of various components of historic buildings and fixtures Plans, computes, and lays out projects and identifies materials needs Works from complex instructions, blueprints, sketches and building codes Performs maintenance, repair, restoration and stabilization of cultural resources Physical Demands:
Works from ladders, scaffolds and platforms. Where surfaces are to be coated, or the parts of systems worked on are hard to reach requiring incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts, carries and sets up parts and equipment that weigh up to 50 pounds. Work Environment:
The work is done inside and outside where dirt, spray, and fumes are present. Also required to work in extreme weather conditions and/or wear protective equipment and clothing that are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable. Frequently exposed to the potential risk of broken bones, shock, burns, cuts and bruises. Park Information:
