Contract Details- Position Type: Contract

- Pay Rate: $28.00 $ 30.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The candidate will be working mostly independently across an office space covering 8 floors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs within office spaces.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
- Assist with the installation and modification of furniture, office tables and chairs, and additional indoor furnishings.
- Resetting and cleaning of shared spaces, meeting rooms, conference areas, and hotel desks. Furniture reset, delivering temporary equipment and supplies. This will be a daily task first thing in the morning.
- Conduct building walkarounds to develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings, their layouts, functions, and complexities.
- Investigate faults, identify causes, and effect remedies. Directly complete minor repairs, painting, and installations where required.
- Liaise with building engineer team and vendors to escort and ensure completion of building systems work within tenanted space.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
- Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
- Ensure corrective / repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations.
- Impact team through defined duties, methods, and tasks as described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

- High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- 1 3 years of job-related experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Office space covering 8 floors.
- Candidate will be on their feet most days.
- Candidate will need to be able to get down on the floor and get back up frequently.
- There will be client interaction.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
