Assistant Director of Facilities Management

Vi Living seeks an Assistant Director of Facilities Management to support safe, reliable, and luxury-level operations within our senior living community. This role helps lead building, grounds, and equipment maintenance; coordinates preventive maintenance programs; oversees vendors and contractors; and supports life safety, compliance, and emergency preparedness. The Assistant Director partners with nursing, housekeeping, and dining teams to minimize disruptions and maintain a premium resident experience.

You will help train and schedule staff, manage work orders, track budgets, and support capital projects, all while modeling our resident-first, service-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily operation and maintenance of building systems, grounds, and equipment
• Support development and execution of preventive maintenance schedules
• Coordinate and oversee contractors and service vendors
• Help ensure compliance with life safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Assist with emergency preparedness planning and incident response
• Use work order systems to prioritize, assign, and track maintenance tasks
• Support facilities budget tracking and capital improvement projects
• Train, schedule, and coach maintenance staff for high-quality service
• Collaborate with clinical, housekeeping, and dining teams to minimize disruptions to residents
• Promote a resident-first, safety-focused culture throughout the community
