Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
General Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining the golf course and club house grounds. All associates are required to provide exceptional customer service and hospitality to all members and guests and consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
Primary Job Functions
The responsibilities include: maintaining and landscaping the golf course and common areas; restocking supplies and inventory; ensuring a clean and safe work environment; greeting members and guests; anticipating the needs of the property; listening attentively to members; following up and communicating promptly; participating actively in events, meetings and training; representing the club professionally in image, dress, communication, and timely response; managing variable schedules that may include weekends, holidays, evenings, and special projects such as aerification.

- Ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret training manuals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from children, managers, associates, members, and the general public.
- Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and manage both abstract and concrete variables.
- Minimum one (1) year of landscaping experience.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Strong customer‑service attitude and professional interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively with other staff.
- Attention to detail and meticulous work ethic.
- Alertness to safety precautions and safe operation of manual and self‑propelled golf‑course maintenance equipment.
- Physical capability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment or boxes weighing between 40 and 80 pounds, and to work on various surfaces in all weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, push, pull, and twist as required by routine duties.
- Enthusiastic, responsible, dependable team player.
- Self‑motivated with initiative, proactive anticipation of others’ needs, and eagerness to acquire new skills.
- Well‑organized and detail oriented.
- High standards of cleanliness.
The role requires regular sitting, standing, use of hands and fingers, and occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The candidate must lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Vision, hearing, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary. Minimal noise exposure occurs in the working environment.
Employment Terms & CompensationEstimated Base Pay Range
$18.45 – 26.00 per hour
