This position is primarily a janitorial and event cleanup role responsible for cleaning and maintaining SAP Center, Tech CU Arena, and other Sharks Sports & Entertainment locations before, during, and after events. Duties include restroom cleaning, trash and recycling removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and post‑event cleanup to ensure all venues remain clean, safe, and guest‑ready.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Responsible for interior facility maintenance, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface cleaning throughout the facilities during and after events.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all areas throughout the event, including restrooms, concourses, and seating areas.
- Provide on‑site maintenance support during events, promptly addressing issues such as spills.
- Remove waste, trash, and recyclables and dispose in proper locations.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms as assigned.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co‑workers, shift leads, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Participate in the teardown and clean‑up of event spaces, including removal of trash, cleaning surfaces, disassembly of tables and chairs, and returning spaces to their standard layout.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Ability to process information in an organized and efficient manner.
- Ability to think and react quickly in any situation.
- Perform other job‑related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support facility operations and event needs.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and climb for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead, and lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to navigate stairs, ramps, catwalks, and various levels of SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods of time in both indoor and outdoor environments with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, wind, and inclement weather while performing outdoor duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in areas with varying lighting conditions, including dimly lit, flashing, theatrical, and event‑production lighting environments, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels, including during concerts, sporting events, and other live entertainment events, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to safely work around large crowds and high‑traffic public areas before, during, and after events with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve working at heights using ladders, catwalks, platforms, or elevated work areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work around cleaning chemicals, equipment, and other facility maintenance materials in accordance with safety guidelines, with or without reasonable accommodation.
