As a Facilities Attendant
, you play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of Valley Services' facilities and rental operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the transfer station, rental yard, customer areas, parking lots, and exterior work spaces remain clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day. You will help create a safe and welcoming environment for customers and employees by performing routine facility cleaning, grounds maintenance, and supporting the overall upkeep of Valley Services' properties and equipment.

This role may also support Valley Services' event and rental operations by maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of portable restrooms, handwashing stations, and other rental equipment as needed. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Requirements:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the transfer station, rental yard, customer areas, parking lots, walkways, and outdoor facilities.
• Sweep, pressure wash, remove debris, and keep the property clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout Valley Services' facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness around dumpsters, fencing, equipment, buildings, and other outdoor work areas.
• Clean and maintain portable restrooms, handwashing stations, and rental equipment to ensure they are clean, presentable, and ready for customer use.
• Support Valley Services' event operations by assisting with the cleaning, maintenance, and presentation of portable restrooms and other rental equipment at community events and job sites as needed.
• Keep tools, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Perform basic grounds maintenance, including weed removal and general property upkeep.
• Inspect facilities and equipment throughout the day to identify safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or areas needing attention.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Assist with directing customers and traffic safely throughout the facility when needed.
• Follow all company safety standards and participate in regular safety meetings and training.
• Support team members and other departments with facility upkeep and operational needs as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
• Work comfortably in outdoor environments, including exposure to dirt, dust, and varying weather conditions.
• Remain on your feet for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Basic Qualifications

• May be required to work overtime, weekends, and during emergency conditions.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be proficient in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, janitorial services, groundskeeping, landscaping, or general labor.
• Experience operating pressure washers, blowers, or other facility maintenance equipment is a plus.
• Bilingual is a plus.
