Job Summary The Maintenance Assistant helps maintain the physical plant and grounds of the facility. You will ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role involves performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and general upkeep.

Key Responsibilities Perform minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks on building systems and equipment.

Maintain facility grounds, ensuring walkways are clear, safe, and clean.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.

Help move furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and facility policies.

Assist with waste disposal and keep maintenance storage areas organized.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in building maintenance, handiwork, or a related trade is highly desirable.

Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, painting, and carpentry tools.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Strong communication skills and a compassionate, resident-centered mindset.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
