We are seeking a skilled professional for a Facilities Maintenance Technician role based in the vibrant city of San Jose, CA. Known for its booming tech industry and diverse culture, San Jose offers an exciting environment for career growth and personal development.

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, working between two locations in the San Jose, CA area.

• Execute daily, monthly, and quarterly facilities and equipment inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Act as the primary contact during shifts for building issues, including climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs.
• Supervise contractor performance and collaborate closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
• Serve as project coordinator for projects of all sizes, including large-scale repairs and new facility projects.
• Solicit bids and quotes from vendors.
• Monitor and replace light bulbs in all assigned facilities as needed.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs as necessary.
• Coordinate and assist with departmental and employee moves.
• Conduct basic electrical work and determine when to call in an electrician.
• Perform maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner using our computer maintenance management system.
• Monitor the building automation system to ensure all facilities equipment operates without issues.
• Collaborate with the EH&S team to ensure a safe workplace, manage fire life safety systems, and hazardous waste programs.
• Work with the equipment maintenance team on projects related to Facility and Manufacturing/R&D.
• Support and develop processes related to preventative maintenance, team process development, standard operating procedures, and LOTO documentation creation.
• Perform any other tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager.
