Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic testing and component-level troubleshooting on complex scientific instruments.
Execute repairs, calibrations, and preventative maintenance according to established procedures and manufacturer specifications.
Document all repair activities, including parts used, time spent, and resolutions, accurately in the company’s service management system.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and quality standards.
Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and customer service teams to resolve technical issues and improve repair processes.
Provide technical support and guidance to customers as needed.
Manage spare parts inventory and requisitions for repairs.
Stay up-to-date with new product releases, service manuals, and technical training.
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic or electro-mechanical equipment, preferably in a laboratory or scientific instrument environment.
Strong understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized repair equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Basic computer skills, including experience with service management software.
Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver's license may be required for occasional field service support.
