Job Description

Primary

Purpose:

To become a worthy employee of the district by safely and adequately performing duties associated with maintaining buildings and the surrounding areas in a clean, healthy, and safe condition.

Education/Certification: Ten grade education or higher (preferred)

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

A capable of reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language (preferred). Basic knowledge of building repair and maintenance procedures in areas such as cleaning, floor care, sanitation, plumbing, electricity, carpentry, painting, etc. Ability to perform the physical requirements as per the duties listed in the job description. Proficient skills in operating and maintaining equipment and tools needed to perform jobs as listed in the job description.

Basic skills in human relations.

Experience: Custodial experience in a school setting (preferred). Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable.
