Janitor in San Luis, Arizona

Janitor Position

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our Facilities Operations team supporting federal buildings in Yuma and San Luis, Arizona. This role is essential in keeping high-security government facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for all occupants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, emptying trash and recycling, restocking supplies
• Maintain lobbies, hallways, offices, and public areas.
• Clean glass, windows, and entryways as required.
• Follow a defined cleaning schedule and quality standards.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely (vacuums, floor machines, etc.).
• Support special cleaning assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications and

Experience:

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and complete tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check (HSPD-12).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in federal or high-security buildings.
• Knowledge of green cleaning practices and equipment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Demands and

Working Conditions:

• Indoor cleaning in secure federal buildings.
• Some tasks may occur outdoors.
• Stable, consistent schedule with opportunities for overtime.
