- Review routes in advance, ask clarifying questions as needed, and complete assigned work on time with attention to quality.
- Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures.
- Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork.
- Represent the company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients.
- Respond effectively to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1 year of DOT driving experience; waste and recycling services experience preferred.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong ability to plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain consistent, dependable attendance.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates, represent the company professionally, and promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.

- Constant work outdoors with exposure to weather, elements, and traffic; occasional exposure to loud noise, dust/debris, and jarring conditions; limited exposure to chemicals.
- Frequent sitting and walking/standing; occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling; limited stair climbing and crawling; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at varying heights, including overhead.
- Continuous reading, screen use, mental focus, and hand-eye coordination.
- Operation of specialized equipment (e.g., mechanical broom sweeper) and use of hand controls, foot controls, and fine motor skills.
- Required use of appropriate PPE: high-visibility apparel, eye, ear, hand, foot, head, lung, and skin protection.
