Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of:
    Contaminated waste disposal universal practices and precautions; cleaning equipment operation, disinfecting agents,and chemicals; basic mechanical concepts; safety standards and procedures; characteristics of and techniques for using custodial equipment and supplies.
  • Skill in:
    Interacting courteously with others; working as ateam member; inspecting work areas and reporting problems andhazards; prioritizing workload for self and others. e professional and courteous.
  • Ability to:
    Understand instructions to operate equipment, mixcleaners and labels on mixed bottles; perform basic math.
Job Description

Responsible for enhancing the physical appearance of the buildingson campus by providing a sanitary environment and preventing the transmission of disease carrying microorganisms.

Job Duties
  • Empty trash cans and dispose of garbage.
  • Empty recycling cans/cardboard and place in designated pick uparea.
  • Clean and disinfect sinks and bathrooms and restock paperproducts. Vacuum carpets.
  • Vacuum carpets:
    Hallways, Ballrooms, Meeting Rooms, and Common Areas.
  • Clean and care for hard floors. Buff and polish vinyl floors asneeded.
  • Dust surfaces in common areas, ballrooms, meeting rooms,stairwells, and hallways.
  • Clean lobbies, common areas, study rooms, laundries, offices,furniture, chalk and writing boards, and light fixtures.
  • Secure buildings, entrances, exits, interior doors, custodialclosets, storage rooms, etc.
  • Clean interior and exterior windows.
  • Clean Ballroom kitchens and stock with soap and paperproducts.
  • Maintain supplies, keys, equipment, and custodial closet.
  • Operate all custodial equipment: floor scrubbers, carpetsextractors, vacuums.
  • Extract carpeting:
    Ballrooms, Meeting Rooms, Study Lounges,Hallways, Offices, and common areas.
  • Clean and maintain all custodial equipment after each use andreport needed repairs to supervisor.
  • Report any building deficiency's to supervisor:
    Lights out,broken fixtures/furniture, stains, small repairs and paintneeds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
