Your Role and Impact
Some companies call them “Maintenance Supervisors,” but at Prometheus, our Neighborhood Service Managers do so much more. The Neighborhood Service Manager is responsible for all physical operations of the Neighborhood, particularly the preservation and maintenance of the property.
- Leadership: In order to provide a quality living environment, it's essential to establish positive, productive relationships with the Neighborhood staff. You will hire, train, and mentor your staff, resolve problems, and look out for the best interest of the Neighborhood.
- Neighborhood Management: As the Neighborhood Service Manager, you are responsible for the budget through cost‑effective management of maintenance functions. You will be in charge of ongoing safety training, capital projects, managing vendors and contractors, and maintaining inventory.
- Upholding Standards: Your team and Neighborhood will look to you for answers and it's your job to know where to find them. You'll be a knowledge holder of company policies and an example of how to comply with rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Neighborhood.
- Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience and/or training in apartment maintenance and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
- Customer Service: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, Neighbors, and the general public.
- Availability: Not just a 9 to 5 job; you must be on‑call and ready to help your team and Neighborhood when needed.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required, plus a minimum of three certificates from related institutions reflecting completion of maintenance related courses such as BOMA, IREM and/or vocational programs.
- Safety: Working knowledge of federal, state and local governing laws and ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and maintenance instructions.
- Physical: Role requires standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity. Must be able to lift up to 50 lb occasionally.
- Pay Range: $47.25 to $54.75 per hour
