Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the community, in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa where applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co‑workers and other departments.

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters; familiarity with building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
• Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including a physical and TB test.
• Will comply with Oakmont Management Group health and safety requirements, including vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and use of face coverings and PPE to prevent the spread of COVID‑19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelines.
