We are currently looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Terminal Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team.

Are you a hands‑on problem solver with a passion for keeping facilities in top‑notch condition? As a Terminal Maintenance Worker at Orlando Sanford International Airport, you'll be essential to ensure that our terminal facilities are clean, safe, and operating smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Maintenance:
    Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, and HVAC system upkeep to ensure the terminal remains in excellent condition.
  • Equipment and Systems Checks:
    Conduct regular inspections of terminal equipment and systems, identifying and addressing any issues to prevent disruptions.
  • Emergency Repairs:
    Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, providing quick and effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain a safe environment.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with other maintenance staff and departments to coordinate tasks and ensure that maintenance activities do not interfere with airport operations.
  • Customer Service:
    Assist passengers and staff with any facility‑related issues, providing a friendly and helpful presence within the terminal.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a large or high‑traffic environment.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures, including plumbing, electrical work, painting, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Good communication skills and a customer service‑oriented mindset.
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Favorable Moving Violation Report (MVR) – The MVR check verifies the holder’s driving record.
  • Ability to pass Federal Fingerprint Background Check – This check covers the entire lifetime of the applicant.
  • Ability to pass a 10‑panel drug test – THC is included; SAA is a drug‑free workplace as regulated by the FAA.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
  • Knowledge of terminal building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to perform maintenance tasks with attention to detail, working independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools, equipment, and standard office applications.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
