AC Estimator
The AC Estimator will design HVAC ductwork systems through the use of cutting-edge software.
Responsibilities include the sizing, designing, and costing of HVAC duct system installations in Residential New Construction Homes. The role involves designing efficient HVAC systems in accordance with company procedures and industry guidelines as well as per local, state, and federal building and energy conservation codes. The AC Estimator will perform code compliance energy calculations per municipality, perform accurate equipment and material takeoffs of sizes and quantities from design drawings, manage multiple tasks while meeting or exceeding stated deadlines, and work with other estimators, sales staff, field supervisors, and operations manager to update existing design master layouts and estimates.
Other related duties may be assigned.
Required skills include excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and experience of three years or more in HVAC design and estimating are required. Experience with Wright soft Right-Suite and Energy Gauge software, and CAD is preferred (training will be provided for the right candidate).
Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, and the ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
