Elevate Cycling specializes in buying, selling, and trading pre-owned, high-quality bikes and components. We are a fast-growing cycling retailer focused on delivering premium products, excellent service, and a smooth experience to every customer. We are looking for a skilled Lead Bike Mechanic to manage workshop operations, uphold strict quality standards, and help drive our growth.

Qualifications (REQUIRED):
  • Professional bicycle mechanic experience (leadership experience, 3+ years preferred)
  • Strong familiarity with road cycling components and systems (Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, electronic shifting, etc.)
  • Advanced mechanical skills including drivetrain tuning, inspection and quality control, ability to remove seized components
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, organization, and time management skills
  • Quick, efficient problem-solving ability under fast-paced conditions
  • Professional inter-team communication skills
  • Ability to lift bicycles and stand for extended periods
  • Mechanic certifications (UBI, Barnett, or equivalent) are a plus but not required
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all repair, inspection, data entries, and service operations for incoming and outgoing bikes and components
  • Become a consultant for high-level mechanic tasking and questions for the mechanic team
  • Ensure operational KPIs for mechanic team are met
  • Ensure all products meet strict quality control standards before being listed for sale or delivered to customers
  • Maintain smooth daily workflows to meet service, inspection, and listing preparation goals
  • Manage and accurately update our inventory and repair database to reflect work completed
  • Lead, train, and support the mechanic team to improve skills, consistency, and efficiency
  • Diagnose and solve mechanical and operational issues quickly and effectively
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
  • Communicate clearly with customers when needed, providing exceptional service and technical support
  • Monitor shop tools, parts, and supplies inventory; assist in ordering when needed
