Job Summary

Pay range: $18.00 – $20.00.

This role maintains cleanliness and floor care for buildings serviced by Flag Ship Facility Services, Inc. The position handles floor cleaning, maintenance of a neat appearance, safety compliance, equipment handling, and reporting.

• Scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extracting, and mopping of floors.
• Review assignments with supervisor and gather necessary equipment.
• Wear safety belts and use wet floor signs at all times.
• Inform lead person of completed assignments and any problems.
• Record time worked and products used.
• Follow all company safety rules and regulations; violations lead to disciplinary action.
• Maintain company vehicles in a safe, neat condition.
• Attend periodic training and safety meetings.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in commercial facilities or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic floor care duties and equipment such as automatic scrubber, buffer, shampoo machine, extractor, wet vacuum, carpet pile lifter, and vacuum.
• Ability to use floor care products correctly.
• Good listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions, use building maps, and maintain punctuality.

• Small‑to‑large office and shop environments.
• Moderate noise level, exposure to dust, odors, oils, fumes and cleaning products.
• Fast‑paced work setting.

• Stand, walk, sit for long periods and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds.
• Repetitive movements: reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
• Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception.
