The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly space in various areas within the building of the Santa Barbara Rescue Mission.

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the following spaces: women's bathroom, men's bathroom, upstairs bathroom, hallways, and dorms as needed.
• Sanitizing floors, sinks, mirrors, and counters within these spaces
• Monitoring and restocking paper towels, soap dispensers and toilet paper
• Monitoring trash and general cleanliness of shelter spaces
• Communicates important information to staff

• Daily working hours are flexible
• Would work 8-10 hours a week, part-time
• Cleaning supplies will be provided to you

• While performing your duties you may come into contact with biohazard materials (e.g. bodily fluids, contaminated items).
• Follow all safety protocols during training, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Immediately report any exposure or unsafe conditions to your supervisor

This position ensures that the above spaces are properly maintained to promote a clean and safe environment for occupants and visitors of SBRM.
