Job Overview
Under the supervision of a Senior Lead Laborer, perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks and provide minor maintenance and storage of equipment. Operate vacuum cleaners, wet‑dry vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and other cleaning equipment. Work covers approximately 30,000 square feet of campus facilities.

Campus Facilities. Working days and hours:
Monday‑Friday 2:00 am–10:30 am.
- Provide custodian services for all listed areas, including stairs, hallways, corridors, walls, windows, and roof decks.
- Dust, mop, sweep, and clean high‑speed hard and resilient floors.
- Operate ground‑level equipment (vacuum cleaners, wet‑dry vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers).
- Perform minor repairs, descaling, and polishing of furnishings, metal fixtures, and walls.
- Safeguard keys, lock unoccupied areas, and maintain situational awareness of hazards.
- Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continuing education.
- Maintain a reliable attendance record and communicate effectively with team members.
- 80% Custodial Services – perform custodial duties as described.
- 10% Safety & Security – lock offices, report incidents, monitor hazards.
- 10% Departmental Goals – build positive working relationships, attendance, and professional development.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks and follow oral and written instructions.
- Six months of experience in a custodial cleaning operation or equivalent training and experience.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Experience operating vacuum cleaners, buffers, wall washing machines, shampoo machines, wet‑dry vacuums, waxers, and floor scrubbing or polishing machines.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
- High School Diploma.

- Required to hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record, or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
- Satisfactory criminal history background check.
