Role OverviewFashion Nova Logistics is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician II to support the reliability, maintenance, and continuous operation of our distribution center equipment and facilities. Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, this role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on material handling systems and warehouse equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, sorters, packing equipment, and other material handling systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs to support production operations.
- Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and prevent equipment failures.
- Support and coordinate maintenance activities performed by third-party vendors and contractors.
- Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Technician I team members.
- Test equipment after repairs to verify proper operation and performance.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop while supporting 6S initiatives.
- Follow all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and other OSHA safety requirements.
- Assist with general building and facilities maintenance as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on business needs.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution center, or automated warehouse maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including gearboxes, motors, pulleys, bearings, belt lacing, and conveyor systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including 480V three-phase, 120V, and 24
VDC circuits. - Experience troubleshooting conveyors, sorters, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and related controls.
- Experience with Bombay and slat boot sorters is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
