Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Facilities Maintenance Staff member is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality across multiple parking facilities, including surface lots and parking garages. This position ensures that all areas remain clean, well maintained, and welcoming to the public through daily inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks.

• Pick up and remove debris throughout parking lots and garage interiors
• Inspect facilities daily for graffiti or vandalism and clean or report as needed
• Check and empty trash containers and replace liners as needed
• Clean and disinfect restrooms including toilets, sinks, mirrors, sweeping and mopping floors
• Sweep and mop elevators to maintain cleanliness and safety
• Sweep and clean stairwells, portals, and perimeter sidewalks
• Wipe down and clean pay stations and stairwell handrails on a regular basis
• Check pay stations and ticketing equipment including ticket paper and call buttons to ensure proper operation
• Test call buttons and report malfunctions promptly
• Operate facility sweeper during scheduled evening shifts
• Perform monthly sweeping of parking facilities as assigned
• Monitor entrances and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safe conditions
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to management
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while performing duties

• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment operation
• Ability to operate or learn to operate a mechanical sweeper
• Ability to lift moderate weight and perform physical tasks including walking, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean and safe public spaces
• Willingness to work evening shifts as required
