Custodian; Seasonal, Part Time

Job Description

The Custodian (Janitorial / Housekeeping) is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas such as exhibit and common areas, employee break area, and other locations within the exhibit. The individual will perform janitorial duties following approved department cleaning procedures, including COVID‑19 sanitizing guidelines. This is a seasonal, part‑time position.

The role operates in an office and museum/exhibit environment, using cleaning equipment such as mops, vacuums, and other tools. Employees may lift up to 60 lbs and are constantly exposed to chemicals and fumes. Repetitive movements, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and grasping are required. The position requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

This seasonal position starts on or after 7/6/2026 and ends no later than 90 days from start. Availability required in evenings, weekends, and holidays.
