Summary: Plan, coordinate, and perform Facility Maintenance operations within a specified zone of PHS-A facilities. Maintain an uninterrupted flow of utilities based on existing design criteria, with a strong emphasis on preventive and predictive maintenance. Operate independently with little or no supervision.
This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour.
Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on fixtures and equipment within the assigned zone.
- Repair, lubricate, and adjust hospital equipment to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Prioritize tasks independently and monitor the performance of building and utility systems.
- Uphold all PHS and departmental policies and support organizational values and strategies.
- Conduct daily rounds, maintain and replace filters, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Recommend cost‑saving measures and demonstrate continuous learning through training and in‑service programs.
- High School Diploma and preferably trade or vocational school experience.
- At least 3 to 5 years of general maintenance or specialized mechanical trade experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
