In this role, you will perform routine cleaning, housekeeping and/or general maintenance duties for the Hematology/Oncology community clinics. You will work individually, maintaining assigned work area.

Required

• Knowledge of custodial safety practices and procedures
• Knowledge of custodial materials, methods and practices
• Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds and willingness to contribute to cultural diversity for educational enrichment
• Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator
• Ability to mix proper amounts of water/chemical solutions
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Ability to operate custodial equipment
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Ability to train personnel in custodial work
• Knowledge of department policies and procedures regarding personnel, supply and equipment, and custodial work
• Knowledge of inventory practices
• Ability to coordinate and plan for effective use of equipment, supplies and personnel
• Ability to resolve problems and complaints
• Knowledge of principles and practices of planning, organizing and general administration
• Ability to plan and direct custodial operations including determining work priorities
• Ability to bend, pull, and push as well as carry a minimum of 30 pounds
