Construction​/Maintenance Worker

Position: Construction / Maintenance Worker - FT
Description

This position provides traveling maintenance support to multiple sites located along the Highway 98 corridor in the Santa Rosa Beach area.

Primary Function:

Under the supervision of the VP of Support Services, Maintenance Personnel is responsible for performing the daily maintenance functions required to keep the facility in acceptable condition.

Essential Functions:

• Perform building maintenance.
• Lawn maintenance, painting, and property repair and maintenance.
• Maintain good safety and housekeeping standards in the physical facility.
• Work with outside repair services in maintenance of equipment, property and the buildings.
• Work projects and corrective maintenance at local facility and stores;
  Determine and assign priority of the above under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on outlying stores, as needed.
• Keep Weekly maintenance log with what, where, time in, and time out.
• Maintain repair and general maintenance log at each location.
• Remain on-call 24 hours a day.
• Follow all safety procedures;
  Report accidents/injuries and safety concerns to the Risk Manager.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Must be bondable.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Must be able to use hardware, hand tools, maintenance and lawn equipment, paint, clean, repair and perform other maintenance tasks.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other management staff, employees and the general public.
Good work ethic.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Ability to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures.
Ability to work with power tools.

Qualifications:

Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, taste and smell. The employee must on occasion lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Typical Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and works both indoors and outdoors; be able to tolerate chemicals and odors, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high; on occasion, the employee will be required to travel between locations in company or personal vehicle.
