Hatchery Maintenance Mechanic III - Nights
Safety is a condition – the safety of our team members comes first.
The Maintenance Mechanic III is responsible for all maintenance of buildings and equipment at the Hatchery facility.
Responsibilities- Performs maintenance on incubation equipment, buildings, and grounds at the Hatchery in the office areas.
- Performs preventative maintenance on all systems at the facility including incubation, heating/air conditioning, alarms, etc. Checks daily for proper operation of systems, machines and equipment.
- Monitors and maintains spare parts inventory for incubators and equipment, ensuring that appropriate parts are available as needed.
- Monitors machine operation/performance on a daily basis.
- Documents all maintenance issues/concerns at the hatchery and communicates to the leadership team at the Hatchery.
- Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
- Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Considerable knowledge of maintenance and repair of hatchery equipment, heating and air conditioning units, and buildings.
- Boiler’s License preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Considerable ability to analyze and resolve complicated maintenance problems.
- Working skill in supervising, instructing and coordinating the maintenance function.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and provide feedback to leadership.
- Considerable ability to operate power tools and machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at elevated heights.
- Valid Class D License.
- Ability to pass Fit test.
- Schedule:
Sunday – Thursday 9:00pm-5:30am. - Benefits:
