DescriptionWe are hiring a Fulfillment Lead to supervise, coordinate, and execute fulfillment activities to ensure a safe and efficient operation at our Sauk Village, IL location. The days and hours for this position are 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday (Occasional weekends). This full-time hourly position will report to the Facility Manager to support our customers with high quality, accurate, and timely service.
Dutiesand Accountabilities
- Keep warehouse up to code and safe, by reviewing safety codes, design layouts, and security procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor orders, inbound, and outbound activities; also address inventory discrepancies.
- Assist in hiring new employees, as needed, to ensure warehouse team staffing levels.
- Plan and communicate shift objectives, monitor performance indicators, and address needs with team.
- Collaborate with all leads to forecast labor needs to control costs, and serve as LTO backup, as needed.
- Coach, develop, and ensure appropriate training of employees on shift to manage performance.
- Communicate with small parcel and LTL carriers to ensure capacity and timely pickup of orders.
- Aid in the design and execution of pick and pack, kitting, and display-building process standards.
- Coordinate replenishment and demand planning to analyze over/under sold materials.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to respond to requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.
- Effective skills in problem solving, planning, staffing, and executing warehouse operations.
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce; to effectively develop employees, and communicate objectives.
- Available during non-standard hours, access to a cell phone, and able to respond to after hour emergencies.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and technology equipment including WMS and (RF) Scanners.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum three years of previous leadership experience in fulfillment operations.
- Minimum one year in an environment picking, packing into parent units, and building pallets for shipment.
- Bi-lingual, English and Spanish.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time through hot and cold temperatures.
- Ability to repetitively twist or turn to drive in reverse; and stand, climb, kneel, stoop and squat, as needed.
- Ability to turn steering wheel on lift truck requiring full rotation of arms and shoulders.
- Must be willing and able to safely lift up to 60 pounds, and slide, push, or pull cases up to 150 pounds.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company.
