Overview
This is a non-exempt position which oversees the security, safety, and rentals of the McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center (E.L.C.). Skills are required in customer service, light maintenance of the complex and most importantly, good public relations. The Attendant is required to perform all tasks necessary to assist clients that are utilizing the facility and to ensure the facility is properly maintained.
The Attendant must respond to the needs and concerns of all user groups in a courteous, professional and enthusiastic manner. This position is a part-time position required to work during the evenings and weekends.
Anticipated Pay Range for New Hires: $19.57/hour - $21.17/hour
- Provide excellent customer service and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Open and close facilities as needed.
- Assist with all audio/video needs.
- Advise customers of what is expected of them during their reservation and of the facility.
- Assist with Music In The Park performers on Wednesday evenings
- Greet renters and monitor tournaments at Community Park and picnic shelters as needed.
- Ensure E.L.C. rules and policies are being followed by guests.
- Keep the facility picked up and clean at all times inside and outside.
- Perform semi-skilled custodial work including sweeping, mopping, maintain supplies in restroom, general cleaning of restroom facilities and other related facilities and equipment.
- Adhere to and promote safety rules and regulations.
- Alert appropriate public safety personnel in the event of a medical emergency, unruly behavior, domestic disturbance or fire and document incidence.
- Monitor building equipment including lighting, air system, audio and video equipment and alert appropriate personnel in the event of a system failure.
- Work cooperatively with other divisions and departments in the maintenance of the E.L.C.
- High school graduation or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
