Job

Job Summary

Perform preventive maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel-powered equipment, machines, and utility carts, such as mowers, tractors, dozers, weed eaters, bush hogs, and chainsaws. Maintain and repair hand and power tools used in planting, cultivating, and pruning. Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs. Accountable for inventory of parts and supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on small engine equipment
  • Change oil, filters, replace blades, tires, spark plugs, adjust carburetors, repair gas tanks and chains
  • Overhaul engines: replace piston rings, hoses, crankshafts, set timing, tune, replace engines
  • Maintain adequate inventory of supplies
  • Maintain, repair, and clean tools and work areas
  • Keep work records in CMMS
  • Follow safety and risk management policies
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and schedules
  • Instruct team members on equipment operation and upkeep
  • Inspect tools and equipment for condition, repair, clean, lubricate, and report abuse
  • Prepare mowers, tractors, trucks for specific uses by adjusting attachments
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
  • Two (2) or more years of related work experience
Salary

$19.15 – $21.55 per hour (non‑exempt, paid biweekly)
