Sunday - Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7 AM

SUMMARY: The Floor Tech Supervisor will oversee all Floor care work to ensure expectations are met at a high standard. Random inspections are made at each account to ensure a safe and healthy environment to reflect the highest integrity of the Floor care Department. (Per industry standards, approximately 4,500 - 5,000 sq ft will need to be cleaned within 1 hour - this will vary by location)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Flooring Services Department.
  • Makes sufficient daily routine inspections as deemed necessary and appropriate to ensure that the work is performed as specified and takes immediate corrective action as may be required to fully comply.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures and standards of work and provides leadership and guidance to departmental personnel.
  • Maintains proficiency in all techniques and equipment used by the flooring staff.
  • Makes recommendations to the manager for changes in supplies, equipment or procedures to improve safety or to reduce costs.
  • On an-on-going basis, provides appropriate technical and chemical training to all flooring staff.
  • Ensures that all equipment is tested regularly.
  • Reports to work on time and dressed in company uniform to also include employee badge and black slip resistant safety shoes and also ensures that staff is dressed in the proper uniform attire.
  • Issues verbal corrective action notices and recommends disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Completes weekly inspections and identifies and reports safety hazards to Manager.
  • Follows safety procedures which include the correct use of PPE and other safety requirements (i.e., blood borne pathogens) based on the job. Responsible for cleaning all bio-waste using these procedures and follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques.
  • Works a flexible work schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Follows company procedures and uses company software to check-in and check-out equipment.
  • Performs inspections of floor work when completed.
  • Performs equipment inspections and fills repair orders as needed.
  • Has knowledge of all flooring types (terrazzo, marble, VCT, LVT etc.)
  • Performs routine cleaning of the floors on the assigned facility in a neat and sanitary manner.
  • Mops, sweeps, scrubs, strips floors, applies floor sealers and finishes full vacuuming in high traffic areas and any visible debris on carpets.
  • Spot cleans carpets utilizing extraction and bonneting methods and maintains hard floors with no build up in corners and edges.
  • Polishes floors using buffing products to restore shine high gloss and uniform appearance in the traffic areas.
  • Trains all new hires on how to use our clock in and out system.
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, and protocols at all times.
  • Observes safety precautions at all times.
  • Performs inventory control on machines and supplies.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
  • 2 years of Floor Tech experience.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Apply common sense understanding to follow instructions that were provided.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand English.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Carrying - 95% of the shift.
  • Bending - 80% of the shift.
  • Kneeling - 75% of the shift.
  • Lifting - 75% of the shift.
  • Pulling and pushing - 80% of the shift.
  • Reaching overhead - 75% of the shift.
  • Standing - 100% of the shift.
  • Walking - 95% of the shift.
  • Grasping - 95% of the shift.
  • Carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs.
