Utility Technician

C&D Technician is responsible for performing general labor activities that assist at water distribution and sewer collection sites.

• Repairs and maintains items on water, wastewater and drainage facilities.
• Makes scheduled inspections.
• Performs lawn and gardening maintenance and repair.
• Shovels dirt and gravel.
• Maintains inventory of parts and maintenance supplies.
• Cleans office including vacuuming, sweeping, trash pickup, bathroom/kitchen clean up.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evening and 24‑hour emergency on call.

High school diploma or GED.

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Ability to follow manual and operating instructions. Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safety practices. Ability to perform routine maintenance/repairs. Ability to work with required tools (including jack hammer, demolition saw, etc.). Comfortable in and around water/raw sewage.

Must be able to frequently lift 50-80 pounds; load, unload and move large equipment/tools; access confined spaces; continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.
